In Navajo mythology, the Nayenezgani (slayer of foreign/alien gods) was a protector of human existence and fought evil spirits, monsters, fiends and gods threatening the mortal world. Together with his twin brother Tobadzischini, both sons of Estsanatlehi, “the woman who changes”, and Tsohanoai, “the God of the Sun”, they served as heroes of humankind; patrons and defenders.
